My average price for a drum is about $600.
below are some prices along with the size of drum frame.
25 X 15   $500.
25 X 18    $ 550.
28 x 15     $650.
28 X 18   $700.
30 and up $800.
 
The southern style drums that are suspended in the air off the drum stand need to have the hanging rings. To add these is $15.
 
I also make drum stands for drums just add $100. to drum order
Drum sticks can be made to match drum,  a set of 12 sticks are $200.
 
 
Drum Frames
You can order drum frames for $150.
If they are 26" around and up they are $200.
 
 
Hides
Beef hides-No extra cost
Buffalo- Add $100.
Moose- Add $75
Horse-No extra cost

My average price for a Hand drum is about $150.

I use Elk, Deer, Horse, and Moose.... I do recommend deer or elk for they have a good high sound for those cold winter round dance nights.
If you are ordering a hand drum to use for sweat or any other traditional doings I recommend a thicker hide such as buffalo or moose it will have the base sound to sing to.

Pow-wow Drums made by a Pow-wow singer
My Name is Gary Middle Rider I am a enrolled member of the Blackfoot tribe in Browning MT.  I am also Cree. I have sang on the pow-wow trail for many years with many different drum Groups. In my experiences I have learned the differences in the original style of singing and the contemporary style.  I have also learned the sound that the singer is looking for in there drum between the deep bass sound for the contempt and the high hum of the original style.
